Blue sharks at La Salvaje beach

The appearance of a group of blue sharks on the Biscayan beach of La Salvaje has caused expectation among bathers. The arrival of the sharks, also known as tintoreras, has occurred in the afternoon and has caused some curious to enter the sea, which was calm, to closely follow the evolutions. It is a common species on the Cantabrian coast that can measure 2.5 meters in length and weigh up to 80 kilos. According to some testimonies, the La Salvaje group consisted of four specimens that hours before had also been seen on the nearby beach of Sopela.
